STRA Interactive Map + Report a Concern Hotline – Now Available
We have introduced two new tools to support the Township of Muskoka Lakes’ Short Term Rental Accommodations (STRA) Program and improve public access to information.
An interactive map is now available to help residents, visitors and prospective renters confirm whether a property is licensed as a short-term rental accommodation in Muskoka Lakes. The map provides a clear and accessible way to identify licensed properties operating under the Township’s STRA Licensing By-law. With a number of applications still under review, additional properties will be added as approvals are processed by the Township’s Licensing Officer.
We have also launched a dedicated 24/7 reporting service for concerns related to short-term rentals. Concerns can now be submitted at any time through a local telephone hotline or online form, making it easier to report issues as they arise. To help facilitate this, the Township’s Short Term Rental Accommodation Licensing By-law 2025-049 has made it a requirement for operators to have a responsible person nearby to help address issues as they occur.
- Telephone Hotline (local, toll-free): (249) 487-2299
- Online Form: Report a Concern
- In an emergency, call 911
