The Township of Muskoka Lakes is currently revising its Strategic Plan, which will serve as a roadmap for the municipality in the upcoming term of Council. The strategic planning process will engage Council, staff, and the community to develop a collective vision and set of strategic priorities that will allow the municipality to seize the opportunities before us and to build on the tremendous strengths of Muskoka Lakes.
Active public participation is essential for the success of this Refreshed Strategic Plan! This process will provide you with the chance to have a say in shaping local government and we encourage involvement from all residents.
How you can get involved!
Through this process, we will be collecting feedback via a community survey, available below between May 8 and 31 as well as hosting in-person community pop-ups in the following locations:
Thursday May 16, 2024
Bala Freshmart – 2:00-4:00 pm
Foodland in Port Carling – 5:00-7:00 pm
Saturday May 18, 2024
Glen Orchard General Store – 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Windermere Beach – 2:00 – 4:00 pm

The Township of Muskoka Lakes has exciting plans ahead as we begin to create a new multi-year Strategic Plan, and we want YOU to be a part of the process!
This survey is an opportunity for you as a community member to share your views on what you think should be in the Plan and how the Township can work towards achieving its vision for the future. As a community member, your perspective will help to form the basis of our understanding of community needs and priorities which will be instrumental as Township maps out its strategic goals for the next few years.
Everyone’s feedback and perspectives are welcome, whether you’re a permanent resident, seasonal resident, new to the community, or a business owner.
Your input – which will take about 10 minutes to provide – is critical to this process and the overall success of the Strategic Plan. This survey will be open until May 31, 2024.
