Consultation has concluded

The Parks and Recreation Master Plan will be used to assist in determining recreation, parks, trails and facilities requirements for the Township that, in conjunction with the Township’s Strategic Plan, will inform future investment and developments.

The Plan will allow the Township to guide and manage the direction of parks, open spaces, recreation and leisure services, programs, events, facilities and amenities. The Township will look for an approach that has regard for the provision of environmentally sustainable, accessible parks and recreation facilities, programs and services that will meet the dynamic needs of the Township.

    The Township of Muskoka Lakes is developing a new Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The Master plan will help determine requirements for parks, trails, recreation and sports facilities and services in the Township for the next 10 years.

    We would like to hear from you! We invite all residents who use Township’s parks, recreation, sports, and community facilities to participate in this Survey to inform the development of the Master Plan.

    Your responses are CONFIDENTIAL - no individual respondents will be identified publicly through the results. This survey should take about 15 minutes of your time. The deadline to complete the Survey is December 17, 2021

    Join us on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 to discuss and provide input into the development of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. Members of the project team from the Township and their consulting team will provide a presentation, followed by a question period. The consultant will facilitate the conversation, making sure all those on the call have a chance to share ideas.

    Instructions

    • Register for the workshops by clicking the link above. This enables the consultant to track the number of people and to understand who’s joining.
    • The consultant will set up the online meeting and forward the link to registered participants the day of the meeting. This will include instructions on how to use the platform and will have a person available to troubleshoot if people have difficulty joining.
    • The open house will be recorded and posted to the project web page.
    • The consultant will summarize the conversations and share with all those online before the end of the meeting.
