Consultation has concluded

Beginning July 1, 2022 through September 6, 2022, Lock Street in Port Carling was closed to vehicular traffic. During this time, Lock Street became a safe pedestrian space to connect with others in the community. The new pedestrian area had picnic tables ready for the community to enjoy takeout from a local restaurant and life-sized board games. Additionally, throughout the summer there were a few different events on Lock Street that included live music by local talent.

This initiative is one of the key public realm projects identified in the new Community Improvement Plan (CIP).

While Lock Street has now reopened after a fantastic summer, we are seeking feedback from the community about this project!
