About the Plan

Under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), municipalities are required to develop a Multi-Year Accessibility Plan and update it at least once every five years.

The Township's 2026–2030 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan outlines its approach to meeting applicable accessibility requirements and standards in the following areas:

  • Customer service;
  • Information and communications;
  • Employment;
  • Transportation; and
  • Design of public spaces.

While the Plan is designed to meet the Township's legislative requirements under the AODA, it also looks at opportunities to go beyond minimum standards and further improve accessibility across Township programs, services and facilities.
