Council Adopts Updated Noise Control By-law

At its October 7, 2026, meeting, Township Council adopted Noise By-law 2026-069, which will come into effect on November 1, 2026.

The updated By-law includes provisions for Noise Exemption Permits, allowing individuals or organizations to request an exemption from certain noise restrictions for specific activities or events. A $250 application fee has been established for Noise Exemption Permits. The fee is intended to support the municipal resources required to administer and review applications. Exemption requests will be subject to review and approval by the Township.

Township staff are currently developing an online application process for Noise Exemption Permits, with further details to be shared once available.
