By-law to Return to September Planning Committee

What happened last?

At its July 15 meeting, Council considered the proposed final Noise By-law 2026-069. Due to additional questions and considerations received by the public (Muskoka Lakes Association), Council directed that the proposed by-law be referred back to Planning Committee on September 17, 2026 and for staff to provide an analysis of the comments received from the Muskoka Lakes Association on the final draft by-law to help inform further discussion.

What’s next?

The updated draft Noise By-law will return to Planning Committee on September 17 for further discussions, before going back to Council at a future date for final approval. In addition to the above analysis, staff will also seek to discuss updates to the Administrative Monetary Penalty System By-law(External link) to reflect Noise By-law 2026-069 with Planning Committee.
