Committee Updates: December 10, 2025

On December 10, 2025, Staff Report OS-2025-055 was presented to the General/Finance Committee, outlining implementation approaches and financial considerations for the rehabilitation of the Port Carling and Bala Arenas, based on two shortlisted options previously identified by Committee.

Following review of the report, Committee supported proceeding with renovations to the Port Carling Arena, citing the need to address immediate repair requirements.

Next Steps

Staff have been directed to advance renovation planning for the Port Carling Arena and to return to Committee at a future date with updated design plans for the Port Carling arena campus. Staff will also review and report on options for the rehabilitation or potential alternative uses of the Bala Arena.
