Jaspen Park Playground Proposed Upgrades

The existing playground equipment at Jaspen Park in Bala has been there for over 25 years and does not meet current standards for accessibility and age-appropriate play. As such, the Township of Muskoka Lakes is upgrading this play structure, and is looking for feedback on the proposed improvements for Jaspen Park!

Design Details

Nature and natural elements are the objectives with this project. We have used equipment to incorporate this nature look to fit in with the peaceful surroundings of the park. Tree toppers, Log Hops, flowers and climbing rocks are incorporated in the design to achieve this goal. Colours are all natural browns and green.

School Aged Play Structure

• Nature themed with multiple level decks.
• Rated for the 18 months -12 year old users.
• Provided 3’, 4’, and 6’ decks, with climbers accessing them from the ground
• Accessible engineered wood fibre ground cover
• Number of users it is rated for is 94 with 24 active play events.
